About this test
The typing accuracy test puts precision first. Instead of celebrating a big speed number, it highlights how cleanly you type: how many characters you get right on the first strike, how many errors you fix, and how many slip through uncorrected. Accuracy is the foundation that speed is built on — every mistake you don't make is a keystroke you never have to undo — so training it usually pays off faster than drilling for raw pace. As you type, mistakes are clearly marked, and the results break your errors down by kind and by key so you can see exactly where you go wrong. Slow down just enough to keep the text clean, and watch how a higher accuracy score quietly lifts your effective speed over time.

How is accuracy calculated?
Keystroke accuracy = correct keystrokes ÷ total keystrokes × 100. We also show final-text accuracy and separate corrected from uncorrected errors.
Why prioritize accuracy over speed?
Errors cost time to fix and break your rhythm. Most typists gain lasting speed by first reducing mistakes.
How is WPM calculated?
One word is defined as five characters. Gross WPM = characters typed ÷ 5 ÷ minutes; Net WPM uses only correctly typed characters. See our methodology page for details.
