Accessibility Statement

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA as a target. Accessibility is ongoing work, and we describe both what we do and where limits remain.

What we do

• Errors and the current character are shown with more than color — underlines, borders, background, and a caret bar.
• Every chart has an equivalent data table.
• The site is navigable by keyboard, including the search box (arrow keys and Enter) and theme controls.
• Visible focus outlines, a skip link, and semantic headings.
• Adjustable text size and multiple themes, including a high-contrast theme.
• Reduced-motion preferences are respected.
• Key sounds are off by default.
• Live WPM is shown visually but is not continuously announced to screen readers, to avoid overwhelming them; the final result is presented clearly.

Known limitations

A typing speed test is inherently a fast, visual, keyboard-timing task, which is challenging to fully adapt for every assistive technology. We have not built a dedicated screen-reader-only typing mode, so we do not claim complete accessibility for that use case. On-screen mobile keyboards also behave differently from physical keyboards.
